Welcome to EuroBasket 2025!
The EuroBasket 2025 will be played at Nokia Arena from August 27 to September 3, 2025. Due to the big crowds expected to visit Nokia Arena during the EuroBasket tournament, special traffic arrangements and other guidelines have been made to ensure a safe and smooth event experience for everyone.
The best way to reach the Nokia Arena
Nokia Arena is located in an excellent central location in Tampere, at Kansikatu 3, 33100 Tampere. The arena is easily accessible by various means of transport, and on game days we strongly recommend arriving by public transportation or on foot. Please note that Nokia Arena does not have its own parking areas. However, several parking facilities are located nearby – you can find a full list and locations here. Game ticket is a travel ticket
A free public transport is included in the game ticket. All tickets for the event include travel on Nysse buses, trams and trains within the Nysse region.
The admission ticket automatically includes the local Nysse transportation ticket, valid from 6 am on the day of the game until 4 am the following day. Passengers must confirm their ticket’s validity by showing the barcode or QR code in their admission ticket to the ticket device during each journey.
Be prepared for traffic arrangements
Kansikatu area near Sorinsilta, as well as the space between the Opaali and Topaasi buildings, will be a security checkpoint area and closed to the public on game days (27.8., 29.8., 30.8., 1.9., 3.9.) from 11:45 until midnight. Resident and service traffic, as well as property access, will remain permitted.
On game days, the streets surrounding the arena will be closed. Traffic will be redirected using dynamic signage. A specific closure schedule for each game day:
- Wednesday, September 3: 6:00 p.m. – 12:00 midnight
- Friday, August 29: 6:00 p.m. – 12:00 midnight
- Saturday, August 30: 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 midnight
- Monday, September 1: 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 midnight
Accessible taxi drop-off will be available on Sorinkatu, with elevator access directly to the arena level. A limited number of accessible parking spaces will also be available for valid permit holders on Sorinkatu.
During closures, buses will operate on detour routes. More information on timetables and rerouted services is available at nysse.fi. With the exception of accessible taxis, taxi services will operate from the bus station, railway station, Sumeliuksenkatu, and Tampere Hall taxi stands.
Schedule and entrances
Each game day is divided into two sessions:
Afternoon session: Two games at 13:30 and 16:30 (same ticket for both games). The arena is not cleared between these games. Guests may leave temporarily and re-enter with both their ticket and a wristband, until the start of the fourth quarter of the second game.
Evening session: Finland’s game at 20:30. Before this game, the arena will be fully cleared and reopened for entry around 19:00 (depending on the timing of the previous session’s exit).
VIP, Skyboxes and other tickets:
- Skyboxes open 1.5 hours before each session. Guests renting the same skybox for the entire day do not need to leave between sessions.
- VIP Arena Lounge at Stefan’s at Arena (4th floor) opens 1.5 hours before game time.
- VIP Eventum (arena level, 1st floor) opens 2.5 hours before game time.
- Ruby & Fellas at Arena (18+) on the 6th floor opens 1.5 hours before game time.

Cloakroom
There will be no cloakroom inside Nokia Arena for this event. Cloakroom services will be provided at the Fan Zone, located at the railway station parking deck (Rautatienkatu 25). The cloakroom will be open on all game days and close approximately one hour after the end of the last game. The fee is €3.00, card payment only (no cash).
Fan Zone and merchandise
During EuroBasket 2025, official EuroBasket products will be sold at Nokia Arena. The merchandise stand is located in the arena lobby and is open on all game days (entry requires a valid game ticket). The Fan Zone is located just outside the arena at Rautatienkatu 25. Official EuroBasket stores will operate at the Fan Zone.
- Fan Zone opening hours: Aug 27, Aug 29–30, Sept 1, and Sept 3 from 12:00–01:00
Sustainability
EuroBasket 2025 works together with WWF to promote sustainable event production. The event carries WWF’s sustainability label.
